Proteas Welcome Jonsson Workwear Test Deal

Jonsson Workwear will become the first brand on the front of the Proteas Men’s Test shirt in five years….reports Africa Daily News Desk

Cricket South Africa (CSA) has announced Jonsson Workwear as the new Test headline sponsor of the Proteas Men, marking the return of a front-of-shirt sponsor to the Test jersey for the first time in five years.

The Test shirt forms the centrepiece of Jonsson Workwear’s multi-year partnership with CSA, which also includes its role as the organisation’s Official Workwear and Apparel Supplier.

Jonsson Workwear joined the CSA family as an Official Sponsor of the Proteas in August. Its branding already features on the sleeves of the ODI and T20I playing kits worn by both the Proteas Men and Proteas Women.

The Proteas Men will debut the new Test shirt when they face Australia in the opening match of the series at Hollywoodbets Kingsmead Stadium on Friday, October 9.

The new partnership comes as South Africa prepares for a busy home Test season, with the Proteas Men scheduled to play eight Tests against Australia, Bangladesh and England.

The matches will mark the team’s first home Tests since their triumph in the ICC World Test Championship 2025 final at Lord’s.

The partnership gives Jonsson Workwear a prominent presence across South Africa’s Test campaign, while strengthening its wider association with CSA and the Proteas across all three formats.
