Organisers said the gathering will provide businesses from both countries with an opportunity to explore new commercial opportunities, establish partnerships and identify ways to expand bilateral trade and investment.

Government representatives, private sector players and business communities from Uganda and South Sudan are expected to participate in discussions focused on improving the business environment and unlocking opportunities in the regional market.

The forum is also expected to create a platform for businesses to engage directly with policymakers and potential partners, with the aim of addressing barriers to cross-border trade and investment.

The event comes as Uganda and South Sudan seek to deepen economic cooperation and strengthen commercial links between their business communities.

Through discussions on the cost of doing business and access to regional markets, the forum will focus on practical measures that can support companies seeking to expand across the two countries.

The three-day meeting will also provide an opportunity for businesses to develop partnerships and explore investment opportunities, while promoting closer economic ties between Uganda and South Sudan.
