President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has directed the Armed Forces, Nigeria Police Force, Department of State Services and other security and intelligence agencies to immediately launch a coordinated operation to rescue victims of the recent mass abduction in Niger State.

Tinubu expressed outrage over the abduction and killing of innocent citizens, describing the perpetrators as “enemies of peace and enemies of humanity” who would not be allowed to go unpunished.

The President extended his condolences to the families of those killed in the attack and offered prayers for the victims and their loved ones.

“You are not alone. The entire nation shares your anguish,” Tinubu said, assuring affected families that the government would not rest until those abducted were safely reunited with them.

He also directed the service chiefs to provide him with regular updates on the progress of the rescue operation until all the abducted persons are accounted for.

“Terror will not cow Nigeria,” Tinubu said, pledging that the government would continue to defend citizens, protect communities and uphold the sanctity of human life.

The President also expressed solidarity with the people of Niger State and said the Federal Government would provide the state government with all necessary support for recovery, relief efforts and security reinforcement.

Tinubu said his thoughts and prayers were with the people of Niger State as security agencies intensified efforts to rescue the abducted victims and bring those responsible for the attack to justice.
