South Africa coach Hugo Broos has announced a provisional 32 member squad for the FIFA World Cup 2026 as Bafana Bafana target their first appearance at the finals since hosting the tournament in 2010.
Goalkeeper Ronwen Williams is set to captain the squad, while midfielder Teboho Mokoena and striker Lyle Foster are among the notable names included in the preliminary selection.
According to the FIFA website, Williams and Mokoena are among nine players selected from Mamelodi Sundowns, while Orlando Pirates have also contributed nine players to the squad, including forward Oswin Appollis.
The 32 member squad will later be trimmed to 26 players for the final World Cup roster.

South Africa will begin their FIFA World Cup 2026 campaign against co hosts Mexico at Mexico City Stadium on June 11. They will then travel to Atlanta to face Czechia on June 18 before concluding their Group A fixtures against South Korea at Estadio Monterrey on June 24.
